Fun in Idaho

The last time we were in Idaho, the weather wasn’t right for skiing and it wasn’t warm enough to white water raft. This time we got snow! Being in Bama, we are far from skislopes and tend to miss the once or twice a year trip. Luckily, Bogus Basin was open and the weather wasn’t too cold, perfect conditions for us.

We researched a bit and found that we could rent our ski gear at the bottom of the mountain, use it for the day, and then return in the way home. The price was right and it was very convenient. We ended up getting the half day, evening rate because they kids had school to do and we wanted to go when it wasn’t crowded. We saved on the rental and the lift tickets and the crowd was minimal. Even getting the gear, we had the place to ourselves. We used Greenwoods Skihaus but I’m sure there are others.

We picked up the ski passes and headed up the mountain. Before we knew it, we were at Bogus and getting geared up. The 24x was the perfect vehicle for this and we loved the convenience of having everything ready to go when we arrived.

The skiing was fun and there were no lines for the lifts so we got a ton of runs in before it got dark. Overall, Bogus Basin was awesome for our little family of novice skiers.
