Dropping off the pup

Our plan to leave Alabama was a bit up in the air but our son wanted to finish a class he was taking so we unenrolled him the last day of February. The class ended, we gave our gifts of thanks to the teacher and school for the extra work of dealing with a homeschooled kid, I went to a doctor’s appointment, and then we were on the road.

Our first stop was at a Cracker Barrel. First time to stop there. It was secure and we were able to shop in the gift store for some snacks. On the drive our son brought up the original Orea brand, Hydrox. Low and behold, they were at the store. Woot!

We woke up early and went on our way towards Idaho. A bit of weather causes a section of 80 to shut down right before we got there, so we pulled off and found a great campground for a great price.

After a cold nights sleep (though we were cozy in the Airstream), we saw that the road opened back up and we started off again. It was slow going and we saw a few cars and semis that slid off road. Yikes! We were careful and made it to ID just after dark.

Morgen (and of course the rest of us) were happy to see the Grandparents and we were happy to have a great dinner and warm, comfy bed.
