Just arrived in Germany!

Oh my goodness, what have we done?

Let me back up a little bit. My husband had been with the same company since he was an intern in college. It’s had its ups and downs. He was getting ready to ask for a transfer to another state when, bam, the opportunity we had been waiting for came to fruition. Happy dance!!! We were getting the chance to live in Germany for 3-5 years. He got transferred to Germany and I couldn’t be happier.

He lived in Germany a few times growing up and LOVED it! He really wanted our family to experience it and the company he was working for bought another company in Germany. How crazy is that? We hoped it would work for him to get transferred but I was getting impatient. Just when were giving up hope, he got the news. It was a little shaky at times, on if it would actually happen, but it all came through and here we are. Beautiful Deutschland! 🇩🇪

So why the drama with “What have we done?”. We’ll, we don’t speak German and it’s a bit different when you don’t have the help of the military. We also don’t have hot water, WiFi, or any clue what we are getting ourselves into.
